applications for Housing in Herefordshire are now
dealt with by a central lettings agency called HOME
POINT.
Five of Herefordshire's major Landlords including
Marches Housing Association work in partnership with
them.
If you are looking for a home in the area you must
first register with HOME POINT by filling in an application
form. This can be obtained by contacting us or direct
to HOME
POINT.
Once you are registered you are put into a Gold Silver
or Bronze band, there are also Priority cards for
people with urgent requirements.
All available properties are advertised by HOMEPOINT
in the Admag each week. If you see a property that
you are interested in, then:
- you can call HOMEPOINT on 01432
359500.
- visit their website on www.home-point.info,
this can be done at a computer terminal at the Leominster
office.
- visit the HOMEPOINT office in Eign
Street in Hereford.
- or you can return the coupon out
of the paper.
Once everyone has had the chance to say what properties
they are interested in, then the person with the highest
priority will usually be offered the tenancy.
Properties are offered to the most suitable candidate,
and that is not always someone in the gold band. Don't
be discouraged if your not successful but try again
when you see a property that suits your requirements.
If you do not receive the admag each week, them HOMEPOINT
can arrange for this to be sent to you.
Housing for Young People
If you are aged 16-25 you may be able to get accommodation
and support from Herefordshire Supported Housing for
Young Peoples project (SHYPP) they have accommodation
in Hereford, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye. For

How we manage homes outside
the Herefordshire area
We have properties in Shropshire and the Malvern
Hills local authority area; these are not covered
by HOMEPOINT.
When Marches Housing Association has empty properties
outside of Herefordshire, then we ask the Local Authority
(Council) for somebody from their waiting list.

If you wish to be considered for any of these properties
you need to contact the relevant authority and ask for their
application forms. You will then be nominated to us when a
suitable property becomes available.
