New Development

Whether we are working in partnership with other agencies or not, we are always looking for opportunities to provide quality affordable housing to families and individuals who need homes; those who can not afford to access private sector housing.

We aspire to be the affordable housing provider of choice of our partners in the public and private sector in our region. Working with local strategic partners, the Homes and Communities Agency and developers we seek to deliver much needed new housing across our operational area.

Our new developments are exciting and innovative, we are bringing old buildings back into use and our new houses are built to a standard that ensures they are economical to live in and can be adapted for changing needs.

Marches Development team have the skills and experience needed to manage development opportunities from small rural exception sites through to larger challenging multi phased mixed tenure schemes. They have also developed homes for a broad range of tenures (key workers and shared ownership through to affordable rent) to achieve sustainable communities.

Chief Executive Bob Strachan has reinforced the Jephson Group's commitment to building new affordable homes, despite the disappointing news that the Group has been unsuccessful in its bid to the Homes and Communities Agency's (HCA) Affordable Homes Programme 2011-15.

Bob described the HCA decision as "a real shock and very disappointing news" and confirmed that Jephson is exploring opportunities to have an affordable homes programme without the support of grant and that the HCA has expressed a desire to work with Jephson to maintain its development capacity.

Bob said, "We remain committed to delivering an extensive development programme. We are already having discussions with our local authority partners and plan to do everything possible to deliver as many of the homes in our bid as we can to make improved housing supply a reality."
