Marches Housing Association has a handyperson scheme designed to assist our residents in carrying out small jobs around the home. Our tenants must provide the materials, for example, curtain poles, door chains or locks and we will provide a skilled handyperson free of charge to carry out the jobs. These are the kind of jobs that would not normally be carried out by a day-to-day repairs contractor. All of our tenants, particularly those who are vulnerable, are able to request up to two jobs per year of up to two hours duration. Please read our residents information leaflet for more information about how the service works and call us on 0800 454315 to see if our Handyperson can help. Handyperson Leaflet We are one of the only Housing Associations to offer a free of charge handyperson service to all of its tenants regardless of need or age. This has been nationally recognised and we were shortlisted for two awards in 2011. These were the Chartered Institute of Housing UK Housing Awards – Meeting Residents Needs and Aspirations and the National Housing Federation What We Are Proud of Awards. ![]()
