THE STAFF OF THE ASSOCIATION
The day-to-day operation of the Association is delegated to the staff of the Association, led by the Senior Management Team, which comprises:
SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM
The operations and activities of the Association are conducted by its
staff, led by the Managing Director and the Director of Operations
supported by the Management Team.
Managing Director - David Hinchliffe M.A, M.C.I.H, A.C.I.S
The Managing Director is the head of service of the Association and is also the Company Secretary. His responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the Association is managed in accordance with the vision, values and strategies set by the Board of Management.
- Supporting and advising the Chairman and Members of the Board of Management.
- Ensuring that the Association is properly governed and managed, with special regard to the requirements of the Housing Corporation.
- Leading on public relations.
- Responsibility for Internal Audit. This is carried out by The Internal Audit Association, who review the effectiveness of the Association's control systems.
- Overall responsibility for HR, Corporate and Financial Services.
- Performance information and development and monitoring of key performance indicators.
- Risk Management.

Director of Operations - Chris Boote DMS
The Director of Operations has overall responsibility for new business development and the management and maintenance of the Association's housing stock and services, including:
- Business development, including new build and refurbishment.
- Allocation of properties to applicants.
- Management of homes and estates.
- Rent collection and arrears.
- Dealing with breaches of tenancy, including anti-social behaviour.
- Tenant and resident involvement.
- Customer service standards.
- Responsive repairs.
- Planned and cyclical maintenance.
- Improvements - including kitchen fitting.
- Estate services, including grounds maintenance and sewer treatment plants.

BOARD OF MANAGEMENT
A Board of Management comprising unpaid volunteers oversees the work of the Association. Board members give up their time to ensure that strategy and direction are set, values are upheld and that standards are met.

The Role of the Board of Management
The Board acts for and in the name of the Association, and retains ultimate control over all aspects of the Association's work and must ensure that its financial and legal responsibilities are fulfilled. The powers of the Board are wide and, although particular functions may be delegated to a sub-committee or to the Executive and staff, the Board retains the responsibility for seeing that those functions are properly carried out.
Tim Brown is the Chairman of the Board, which meets quarterly.
Four main committees carry out the detailed work of the Association:
- Housing and Development -deals primarily with our landlord role and developing new properties.
- Finance - deals with the business plan, treasury management, budgets and IT.
- Audit- Deals with the internal and external audit and leads on risk management.
- Establishment - Deals with staff and office accommodation.
